This was his career most of his life until sold his business. He completed 35 years of service, achieving the rank of E-9 and retiring as a Sergeant Major in the Army Reserves. His early years were spent living at the old Hulet Ranch East of the Newcastle Reservoir, riding his horse down the canyon to the Newcastle elementary, for school.
